Transamerica has hired Jonathan Cressman to be vice president and managing director for annuities wholesale distribution in the company's individual solutions division.
The company is a Baltimore-based arm of Aegon.
Cressman was previously national sales manager for the independent broker-dealer and bank/wirehouse channels at Prudential.
Cressman has a bachelor's degree from Yale.

Zipari — a New York-based health insurance consumer experience platform company — has promoted Matt Case to chief marketing officer.
Case was the company's vice president of marketing.
Earlier in his career, he worked in sales and marketing at Kaiser Permanente, AIG, Anthem, Welltok and other companies.

Principal Financial Group has hired Noreen Fierro to be senior vice president, chief compliance officer, and it has hired Humphrey Lee as vice president and head of investor relations.
Fierro succeeds Betsy Happe, who is retiring.
Fierro moved to the Des Moines, Iowa-based insurer from Guardian Life, where she was chief ethics and compliance officer. She has also worked for Prudential Financial, Deloitte, UBS and two law firms.
