Mutual of America Financial Group has picked Tara Favors to be an executive vice president and chief human resources officer.
The New York-based annuity issuer has about 1,100 employees.
Favors will oversee hiring as well as employee compensation, benefits, training, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
Favors was previously vice president of human resources for the global merchant and network services business at American Express.
Earlier in her career, she worked in human resources at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.
She has a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University and a master's degree in human resources from The New School University.

The Standard has hired Jack Woolnough to be a regional sales director for the central region of its retirement plans division. He is based in Denver.
Woolnough was previously a sales executive at ADP.
He has a bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University.
Minnesota Blue
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota — an Eagan, Minnesota-based division of Stella — has named Dana Erickson to be Minnesota Blue's next president and CEO.
Erickson will succeed Kathleen Blatz, who has been serving as the interim CEO since April. The previous permanent CEO, Craig Samitt, retired.
