Malamed, Adam
CEO
RIAs: More Than $10 Billion AUM/AUA
Luminaries 2026 Impact Statement
When Adam Malamed became CEO of Sanctuary Wealth he inherited a firm with strong foundations and a defining question: could it scale without losing what made it distinctive? The answer, delivered over the past 18 months, is a clear yes. Under Malamed's leadership Sanctuary has grown from $30 billion to over $60 billion in assets under advisement, welcomed 16 new partner firms representing more than $17 billion in client assets and expanded its national footprint to 130 partner firms across 33 states. The firm has attracted breakaway teams from Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and UBS at a pace that reflects genuine competitive differentiation. Malamed also launched two platform innovations during this period: the Sanctuary Wealth AltVantage Program, which gives advisors structured access to institutional-quality alternative investments, and a platform partnership with BNY Mellon through Sanctuary One.
