Carter Amundson, financial advisor at North Star Resource Group in Milwaukee, is widely recognized for his leadership and impact through the Black and Brown Run Around 5K, a community-driven initiative he founded in 2023. In just a few years, the event has grown into a powerful platform that celebrates and uplifts Black and brown communities across the Greater Milwaukee area while fostering meaningful connections among individuals, families, and local businesses. Carter has also expanded partnerships with major organizations like the Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks, increasing the event’s visibility and sustainability. Now a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Black and Brown Run Around reflects Carter’s holistic commitment — both professionally and philanthropically — to advancing opportunity, building wealth, and creating lasting, community-centered impact
