Global X ETFs CEO Ryan O’Connor joined the firm in April 2024 after being Global Head of ETF Product at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He inspired the firm to surpass $100 billion in AUM in just 26 months, a 112% increase in AUM from his first day. Ryan accomplished this by recruiting a number of new leaders, including Chief Counsel and Head of Finance; building out the human resources department and naming its first Head of People; hiring Yahoo! Finance anchor and financial journalist Seana Smith as Senior Investment Strategist as a dedicated resource for the advisor community; and expanding our product line-up by launching 35 new funds across income, commodities, and core areas.
