Opto Investments, an investment technology platform offering independent advisors and family offices access to private markets, has launched a new planning tool to help advisors determine appropriate allocations and develop pacing strategies suited to client needs.

Opto partners with registered investment advisors and family offices to build and deliver tailored, proprietary private markets funds. The new Planner tool helps advisors create analytically rigorous, long-term private investment plans, the company said.

“From start to finish, private markets can be complex,” Eytan Schindelhaim, Opto Investments product head, said. “At Opto, we embrace that complexity and create solutions that are thoughtfully simple. The Planner enables advisors to clearly demonstrate to clients how private markets can help them achieve their goals within the context of their total portfolio — and then lays out the steps to get there.”

Opto said its platform helps advisors guide clients through the entire private markets investment lifecycle, including portfolio construction tools, and offers automated back-office processes covering tasks such as tax documentation and reporting. The model allows firms to efficiently build and scale institutional-quality private markets programs, Opto said.
