American College Rolls Out CFP Continuing Education Platform

Knowledge Hub+ will feature more than 60 hours of combined CFP and American College course credits available.

The American College of Financial Services has announced the launch of Knowledge Hub+, a subscription-based continuing education platform for certified financial planners and alumni with other designations.

The platform will launch with over 60 hours of combined CFP and American College continuing education credits available, according to the announcement. It features applied lessons from more than 30 academics, financial planning researchers and experts in specialized areas in financial services.

Course topics include financial planning, retirement, wealth management, insurance, risk management, philanthropic planning and ethics in financial services.

In designing the platform, the American College sought to create a place for financial professionals to access insights about their “ever-changing profession,” said Jared Trexler, senior vice president and chief marketing and strategy officer at the American College.

Among the participating educators named in the announcement are Michael Finke, the Frank M. Engle Chair of Economic Security at the American College; Jamie Hopkins, CEO of Bryn Mawr Capital Management; David Blanchett, managing director at PGIM DC Solutions; Fred Reish, the attorney and ERISA expert; and Tina Powell, partner at the advisor marketing firm Intention.ly.

Separately, the American College also recently revealed plans for a certification program aimed at financial advisors who want to serve clients in a more tax-aware manner, dubbed the Tax Planning Certified Professional designation.
