AmeriLife Group LLC has hired Bob Yates to be vice president, distribution, analytics and data. The Clearwater, Florida-based firm is a distributor of life insurance, annuity and health insurance products.
Yates will develop new analytical tools that people involved with product distribution can use to increase sales and improve service.
He previously was vice president, finance-distribution, with CNO Financial Group Inc. One of his jobs was managing compensation policy and commission operations at CNO's insurance company subsidiaries, such as Bankers Life.
Yates has a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree in business from DePaul University.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has hired Brett Brunick to be chief digital and technology officer.
Brunick is filling a new role at Thrivent, and the Minneapolis-based company says he will help it become a digital-first organization.
He previously was chief information officer at TCF Bank. While there, he helped create an online mobile system, set up a customer relationship management system at the branches and contact centers, and modernize old, legacy systems.
He has a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.
Aflac Inc. has hired Takeko Uemoto to be senior vice president, enterprise corporate actuary.
