The Aegon N.V. unit has hired Travis Cox to be regional vice president for North Texas and Oklahoma. He previously was managing director for emerging markets as MassMutual Worksite Solutions.

He has a bachelor's degree from Rhodes College.

Transamerica also has promoted Taylor Harman to regional vice president for Northeastern California and Northern Nevada, from internal wholesaler. Harman has a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas.

The company has promoted Mitch Ritz to regional vice president for Oregon and Montana. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver. He holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist professional designation.

Coherent Group, Hong Hong, has hired Todd Buchanan to lead its U.S. operations. Coherent is an insurance technology company.

Buchanan previously was senior regional vice president at American International Group Inc.'s life and retirement division.

He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and he also has served in the U.S. Army. While with the Army, he was a field artillery officer.

He also has served on the board of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission.
