Not every piece of information can be found through Google. Some knowledge can only be gained through experience. Passing on that knowledge is done through relationships. In a professional environment, that relationship is most likely mentor/pupil. As a pupil, be sure to schedule regular meetings with your mentor and make it part of your standard workflow. Also, go into the conversation with some ideas you'd like to discuss, but don't cast the agenda in stone. And lastly, do not think of the mentor/pupil relationship as a one-way flow of knowledge. Respect each other's strengths and contributions. A mentor stands just as much to gain from the perspective of a younger demographic.
