Group disability insurance plans are covering a smaller percentage of U.S. workers this year than they were covering in 2010.
Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford (NYSE:HIG), has published that finding in a summary of results of a March survey of 1,000 U.S. adults ages 18 to 64.
The percentage of U.S. workers with long-term disability insurance seems to have dropped to 44%, from 47%, and the percentage with short-term disability insurance seems to have dropped to 49%, from 55%, Hartford says.
