Eastbridge researchers conduct a Voluntary Insurance Confidence Index survey twice a year. Participants include brokers, producers and carriers.
The sales confidence index stood at 88.8 at the end of 2008, down from 97.3 at the end of 2007 and 96.2 at midyear, Eastbridge reports. The index benchmark was set at 100 in 2005.
