The Foundation for Financial Planning has donated $295,000 to the National Financial Planning Support Center.

The Tucker, Ga., foundation raises money from members of the Financial Planning Association, Denver, and others with an interest in expanding availability of planning services for low-income people, victims of domestic violence, families of military personnel, and other people facing difficult life challenges.

The FPA originally set up the support center in 2001 to help families affected by the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The support center now helps pro bono programs conducted by FPA chapters throughout the United States.
