A large group disability insurer has posted claim forms on the Internet.[@@]
Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, says clients can use the forms to file group long-term disability claims and group short-term disability claims immediately.
An insured employee can retrieve the form, answer a series of questions about a disability, provide other required information and submit the claim directly through the Web.
Principal also plans to offer return-to-work plans and other disability management programs through the Web, the company says.
