Dearborn Acquires Tennessee Training Firm

Dearborn Financial Services, Chicago, has acquired Insurance Systems of Tennessee Inc., Nashville, Tenn.[@@]

Dearborn, a unit of The Washington Post Company, Washington, sells financial services training and testing services.

Insurance Systems, founded in 1981, runs insurance licensing classes, securities licensing classes and continuing education classes for Tennessee financial advisors.

The price of the Insurance Systems deal and other terms were not available.

The acquisition is the second Dearborn has announced in less than a month. In July, Dearborn reported the acquisition of another Southeastern insurance education firm, Insurance Achievement Inc., Baton Rouge, La.
