NU Online News Service, July 11: 12:39 p.m. – Forty-seven percent of Canadians worry that they will be a burden to others in their old age, but only 49% have heard of long-term care insurance, according to results of a survey by Ipsos-Reid, Vancouver, British Columbia.
The survey, which was sponsored by RBC Insurance, Toronto, a unit of Royal Bank of Canada, Montreal, found that 62% of Canadians who have financial advisors but do not yet have LTC insurance think their advisors should tell them about the product.
