Alternatives investment platform CAIS has unveiled new trade features to become available to the more than 2,000 wealth management firms using the service. The new solution, which features a more intuitive and flexible investment experience, was designed to simplify the alternative investment lifecycle for independent financial advisors, CAIS said.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new trade capabilities, designed with advisors at the core. Every feature has been thoughtfully crafted to simplify, scale and streamline the alternative investment experience, empowering advisors to better serve their clients,” Chris Zuczek, CAIS chief product officer, said Wednesday. “This next generation of features streamline the process, allowing advisors to manage multi-investment workflows and allocate to alternatives with fewer steps and greater efficiency.”

Key features, according to the company, include:

  • Streamlined, guided transaction workflow.
  • Ability for advisors to initiate transactions with only the most essential information, reducing data entry requirements.
  • Enhanced flexibility for advisors to create accounts in multiple stages.
  • Efficiency so advisors can manage household-level information across multiple accounts with an enhanced profile structure.

“With trade times now reduced to mere minutes, CAIS’ end-to-end platform now offers our advisors a simplified, robust solution for alternative investments,” Michael R. Glennon, Mariner private investments vice president, said. “This optimized experience creates a better experience for our advisors, and ultimately their clients.”

The announcement follows the launches of portfolio construction tool CAIS Compass and CAIS Advisors, which offers custom alts model portfolios.
