Osaic, formerly Advisor Group, has named Kristy Britt as its next chief financial officer.

Britt comes to Osaic from Thomson Reuters, where she held roles in financial leadership and strategic planning across the business, most recently as head of finance for operations and technology. She will report directly to Osaic CEO Jamie Price.

Price cited Britt's "proven track record in financial strategy and planning" as key factors in her hire, calling her a "perfect fit to lead Osaic's finance department as we enter our next phase of growth."

"It is an exciting time to join Osaic as the company takes significant steps to drive meaningful change in the wealth management space," Britt said in a statement. "I look forward to collaborating with the talented team to enhance financial operations so that Osaic can continue to invest in its business, best serve our financial professionals, and advance advisor growth."

Britt takes over from Osaic's previous CFO, Jon Frojen, who has decided to step down after nearly five years with the firm.

As of late August, Osaic supported over 11,600 financial professionals and had more than $653 billion in assets under administration.
