Commonwealth Nabs Two Osaic Advisors, Spotlights Partners’ Growth

Aegis Consulting has added Mark O’Sickey and Paul Solorzano, who worked with nearly $600 million in client assets.

Florida-based Aegis Consulting is celebrating a doubling of assets to nearly $2 billion over the past 18 months, with senior leaders crediting the firm’s decision to join Commonwealth Financial Network in early 2023 as a key driver of the growth.

Aegis is also spotlighting the growth of its advisor team from nine to 17, including its most recent additions of Mark O’Sickey and Paul Solorzano from Osaic.

Like most of the Aegis team, O’Sickey and Solorzano were formerly affiliated with Osaic and its predecessor, Lincoln Financial Advisors. O’Sickey is based in Cleveland, and Solorzano is based in San Francisco. Together, they managed nearly $600 million in client assets.

“We are committed to supporting fast-growing enterprises and are honored to now include Aegis offices led by Mark O’Sickey and Paul Solorzano,” Becca Hajjar, managing principal and chief business development officer, said in a statement. “Whether advisors want to join us directly or as part of an existing Commonwealth affiliate, we’re honored to help support their transition.”

Aegis Consulting serves more than 1,300 families from four offices across Florida and locations in Reston, Virginia; Cleveland; San Diego; and San Francisco.

Alexander Harrison, managing partner of Aegis, cited O’Sickey’s and Solorzano’s “tremendous skill” as advisors as key factors in their recruitment.

“By joining Aegis, they have the support and experience of our collective teams and the full resources of Commonwealth,” Harrison said.
