Cerity Partners to Merge With Venture Capital Advisory Shop

The merger with Touchdown Ventures will expand the firm’s offering to corporations and businesses.

Registered investment advisor Cerity Partners is merging with Touchdown Ventures, a provider of advisory services for corporate venture programs.

The addition of Touchdown Ventures will expand Cerity Partners’ offering to corporations and businesses, according to the announcement, while deepening the firm’s own venture capital capabilities and expertise.

After closure of the deal, which is anticipated in the coming weeks, Touchdown will operate as Cerity Partners Ventures (CPV) and integrate into the firm alongside Cerity Partners’ broader service offerings.

Kurt Miscinski, CEO of Cerity Partners, cited Touchdown’s skilled advisory professionals and shared fiduciary commitment to clients as key drivers of the merger.

The announcement notes that Cerity will seek to “unlock access to external innovation through tailored venture capital solutions.” The merger will also broaden access to innovative startups, according to the firms, while enhancing Cerity Partners’ offerings to its private clients and expanding its footprint in Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“Our relationship with Cerity Partners amplifies our team’s ability to provide the best possible venture capital services for corporations seeking access to external innovation,” said Touchdown CEO David Horowitz in a statement. “We are excited to keep doing what we are doing together with our new colleagues at Cerity Partners.”
