I read a lot. I also watch a lot of TV. Thanks to social media, friends near and far share clever sayings, pithy statements and memes. I have no idea of the original sources, but I know they were clever enough for me to write down. They can come in handy.
Why? Because sometimes, you want to create that “aha” moment leading to a client or prospect following your advice. Sometimes you are simplifying concepts.
Years ago, I had a wonderful married couple as a client. One of them gave me a sincere, yet unusual compliment: “The thing I like about you, Bryce, is you explain things as if you were talking to a stupid person.”
To a third party, that might imply I was insulting them. They meant I spoke in simple terms that were easy to understand.
Some of the statements here might motivate you, while others can help make a point to clients.
