eMoney Expands Open API Program

Wealth firms can use the software for syncing and enriching client data, as well as for custom reporting.

The technology firm eMoney Advisor says it has made significant updates to eMoney Access, an open API program that lets financial organizations adapt or integrate the firm’s planning technologies into their own tech ecosystems.

The updated eMoney Access program can be used by wealth management firms to work on issues like syncing and enriching client data, according to its latest announcement. Other capabilities include client and user administration management, as well as custom reporting and workflows.

With the updates, eMoney Access says it now offers clients 250-plus endpoints and seven pre-built components so they can quickly get their planning services to market. The pre-built capabilities support services such as net worth monitoring, asset allocation oversight, probability of success reporting, goal summary reporting, expense monitoring and more.

“The lack of integration between technology systems is a top pain point for firms,” said Ricky Illigasch, vice president of product management at eMoney. “By syncing data through eMoney Access, firms will eliminate data silos, gain a deeper understanding of client information, increase efficiency and increase the accuracy of financial plans.”

More than 50 firms use eMoney’s APIs, the firm says, and more than 109,000 financial professionals use the eMoney platform to serve about 6.3 million U.S. households, with a combined wealth of more than $2 trillion.
