The 16th annual MarketCounsel Summit will take place Dec. 9-11 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas — the newest luxury property on the Las Vegas Strip.

Key RIA-focused themes for the 2024 invitation-only gathering are technology and artificial intelligence; growth and mergers and acquisitions; regulatory and compliance issues; and behavioral finance and practice management. Sessions will feature industry leaders and other VIPs.

"We've been developing innovations within the familiar MarketCounsel Summit experience since we wrapped last year's event," said Brian Hamburger, MarketCounsel president and CEO.

"We recognize  that time is precious for entrepreneurs and top executives — especially at year-end and around the holidays — [and] accept the responsibility of offering an experience that's time well spent for our high-caliber attendees," the attorney added.

The MarketCounsel event kicks off with several pre-summit sessions and an evening of networking on Dec. 9, followed by two days of conversations, educational discussions and friendly debates. Past celebrity speakers include Mark Cuban, Earvin "Magic" Johnson and Tony Robbins.

On the final evening of summit, Dec. 11, ThinkAdvisor will host its 2024 Luminaries Awards' gala at the Fontainebleau, which will be followed by MarketCounsel's after-hours celebration. (Also, ThinkAdvisor will present a series of panel sessions and roundtable discussions about the industry on the morning of Dec. 12.)

In 2023, the MarketCounsel Summit's opening panel discussion focused on tactics used by high-growth firms. Speakers included Sara Baker, chief planning and legal officer of Triad Wealth Advisors; Jonathan Blumenthal, CEO of Quotient Wealth Partners; and David Wood, chief visionary officer of Gateway Financial Partners.

"Brian annually quips about each Summit being his last," said Anthony Stich, recently hired as executive managing director at MarketCounsel, in Wednesday's announcement about the 2024 event. "To me, and to the  legions of Summit alumni, December would not be the same without this annual  gathering of the industry's best."

Stich explained, "I now see there is some truth to it being the last, as it tips the cap to our intention to continually innovate while maintaining the moniker of  'the Davos of Wealth Management.'"
