Joe Duran's Rise Growth Recruits Two Senior Executives

The recently launched RIA minority investment firm has new heads of marketing and investments.

Rise Growth Partners, the recently launched strategic RIA minority investment firm led by Joe Duran, the United Capital founder and Goldman Sachs veteran, has appointed two new senior executives in Jennifer Geoghegan and Tony Ling.

Geoghegan, formerly of Focus Financial Partners, joins the firm as chief marketing officer, while Ling, who departs Corsair Capital, has been named managing partner of investments.

Geoghegan entered the RIA industry as the head of marketing and advisor coaching at Focus Financial Partners. From there she joined a Focus partner firm, the Colony Group, as its first chief marketing officer.

Ling most recently served as managing director of Corsair Capital, a financial services-focused private equity firm, where he managed transactions totaling billions of dollars of enterprise value. He previously worked at Lightyear Capital and JPMorgan.

In her new position, Geoghegan will lead all marketing activities for Rise and its partner firms, including strategy and brand development across both digital and traditional marketing. Ling will collaborate with potential partner firms’ leadership teams to design and execute transactions.

News of the appointments comes some five months after Rise Growth signed a $250 million funding commitment from Charlesbank Capital Partners, a middle-market private investment firm with offices in Boston and New York.
