Laura Lutton to Head Morningstar Manager Research

The 25-year veteran of the investment research firm will replace Lee Davidson in the position.

Morningstar veteran Laura Lutton has been appointed the firm’s global head of manager research, effective July 1.

Lee Davidson, who previously led the global manager research team, recently became Morningstar’s chief analytics officer, leading the group responsible for the investment research firm’s analytics products and services.

Lutton, who started at Morningstar in 1999, will report to Dan Kemp, chief research and investment officer.

She’s currently a director of product management at Sustainalytics, where she led an enhancement of Morningstar’s flagship ESG risk ratings product. Lutton, who previously headed asset management solutions, has spent most of her career at Morningstar within manager research.
