The fintech solution provider Orion has appointed Ron Pruitt as president of Orion Wealth Management, it announced this week.
Pritt is joining Orion from Nasdaq Analytics, where he was president, and he is tasked with leading the firm's strategic initiatives to expand its wealth management services and enhance its investor-centric technology for financial advisors.
Previously, Pruitt co-founded and was chief investment officer of Placemark Investments and became a key executive at Envestnet after its acquisition. Additionally, Pruitt served five years as an officer in the U.S. Army, having graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Natalie Wolfsen, CEO of Orion, cited Pruitt's "extensive background and proven track record of leading high-performing teams" as key factors in his appointment, as well as his achievement of the Six Sigma Master Black Belt designation during his early career tenure at General Electric.
"Ron's leadership will undoubtedly advance Orion's progress toward building a wealth-tech community where every advisor and investor thrives," Wolfsen said. "With Ron on board, we will further enhance our flexible ecosystem — allowing firms to do business the way they see fit, no matter their size or business model."
