The wealth management technology provider Advisor360 announced Tuesday that Mike Fanning, a longtime MassMutual executive and 30-year financial industry veteran, will be the firm's next chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors.
Fanning takes the helm at Advisor360 from Richard Napolitano, who will retire May 1 and is tasked with driving the firm's technology strategy and enterprise-wide innovation.
He first joined Advisor360 as a board member last year, and he previously helped deploy and integrate Advisor360's capabilities for MassMutual-affiliated advisors through a major licensing agreement struck in 2019.
During his 17-year tenure at MassMutual, Fanning oversaw growth and digital transformation initiatives at the company, most recently leading the company's domestic insurance business.
In the announcement, Fanning said he looks forward to advancing the firm's mission, values and strategic objectives as it navigates the next chapter of its life as an independent technology company.
