Registered investment advisor NewEdge Wealth has launched NewEdge Investment Solutions, a platform the company said was designed to give third-party financial professionals and institutions access to some of the same strategies the RIA uses to help its own ultra-high-net-worth clients achieve their goals.

NewEdge Investment Solutions provides access to investments that are difficult to find or get into, or have structural advantages, the firm said.

NewEdge Wealth, a division of NewEdge Capital Group, serviced $160 billion in client assets as of March 31, according to its website. The division was created in late 2020 and offers technology-enabled solutions, institutional-caliber management and personalized services, the company says. As of June 30, NewEdge Capital Group's total client assets serviced exceeded $40 billion.

NewEdge Investment Solutions is an "extension" of the company's goal to provide modern and objective investment solutions on an outsourced basis, the firm said.

"In combination with providing NewEdge Wealth's ultra-high net worth clients with a highly personalized approach to wealth strategy, we believe we have unlocked several investment strategies that adapt to the ever-changing market landscape," said Rob Sechan, NewEdge Wealth co-founder and CEO.

One specific area in which NewEdge Investment Solutions is unique is its approach to investing in structured notes and creating managed investment strategies that use them, the company said.

The NewEdge Structured Note Strategies team is headed by Michaelangelo Dooley, a certified financial planner who serves as its portfolio manager.

Structured notes are "powerful investment products that allow investors to achieve enhanced or consistent opportunities for growth while minimizing portfolio risk," Dooley said in a statement.

"That said, we believe today's methods used by investors to access structured notes can be improved upon," he said. "Our strategies are designed to deliver superior outcomes while producing returns which may be difficult to achieve through conventional equity and bond markets."
