Cash flows into money market mutual funds surged after high-profile bank failures in March, as many investors moved their funds from bank accounts to other liquid holdings. Money market mutual funds took in $200 billon in the month's second half, and U.S. Treasury exchange-traded funds drew tens of billions of dollars, while bank deposits declined, Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg senior ETF analyst, noted in a tweet. Money market mutual funds are up $500 billion year to date, Balchunas tweeted on Friday.
