Gavin Spitzner, president of Wealth Consulting Partners, died Monday after fighting acute myeloid leukemia since being diagnosed with the disease in September. He was 57.
Spitzner's family announced his death Tuesday on LinkedIn and Twitter, saying he "wanted all his friends, family and colleagues to know he died at peace without any regrets."
Spitzner "treasured the time he spent with you — co-workers, clients and all the people he engaged with at conferences or even social media — and he loved the life that he led," his family said. "He was blessed with an amazing family — wife, children, parents, brother, stepmom, grandparents, in-laws and many more who helped shape him into the boy he was and the man, husband, father and uncle he would become."
They added: "He had many adventures and had the good fortune to get to see his three kids grow into generous, thoughtful, compassionate young adults. He was thrilled to see how he had passed on his love of music, humor, puzzles, hiking, photography, travel, sports and so much more."
Spitzner worked for several financial services companies over the years, including Prudential as senior vice president of business development from 1997 to 2013 and Envestnet, in that same role, from 2013 to 2015.
In 2015, he founded Wealth Consulting Partners, which helped asset managers, banks, broker-dealers, fintech firms and RIAs tackle modern technology.
