To honor the top financial advisors and firms moving the industry forward in our LUMINARIES recognition program, we assembled a team of 12 stellar industry experts to serve as our 2022 awards judges. Their careers encompass leadership excellence and innovation, across a variety of firms and organizations in financial services. These 12 individuals recently reviewed the LUMINARIES Class of 2022 Finalists in four award categories: Community Impact; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Executive Leadership; and Thought Leadership. The select group of winners will be announced on stage at the program's second awards dinner and gala — set to take place Nov. 17 in New York. An evolution of our Broker-Dealers of the Year awards, the LUMINARIES program is now in its second year. It aims to highlight how top-performing industry participants — both firms and individuals — produce meaningful results through efforts that matter most to advisors. "By sharing experiences and successes, we help each other," said Tonia Bottoms, a LUMINARIES winner in 2021, managing director and senior managing counsel for BNY Mellon's Pershing. By involving firms who are focused on industry best practices, excellence and innovation, these awards "shed light by helping to elevate their views and understanding" about opportunity and change in the advice business and financial services overall, she explained. The 2022 LUMINARIES judges, featured in the above gallery, are doing a tremendous service to ThinkAdvisor and to financial professionals overall by helping us highlight the many dynamic and inclusive ways some individuals and firms are driving the wealth, investment and retirement industry forward. The ThinkAdvisor team is grateful to them and to all the LUMINARIES nominees for their support of this pioneering awards program.
