Former LPL Strategist Ryan Detrick Joins Carson Group

Ryan Detrick, who left the chief market strategist position at LPL Financial last month, today announced he's starting a new position with the same title at Carson Group, a large advisor network that provides coaching, marketing and other services.

"I'm super happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Chief Market Strategist at Carson Group," Detrick posted on LinkedIn.

On Twitter, he posted a photo of himself on a plane, saying he was honored and excited to start the new job. "On my way to Omaha now to get rolling and have some fun!"

Detrick "will be responsible for advancing the company's research team, delivering market insights and expanding the Carson Group investment platform," according to a statement from Carson Group.

In announcing his departure from LPL after more than six years there, including two as chief market strategist, Detrick expressed his gratitude while suggesting he and the company no longer were the right fit.
