The Princeton Review this week released its annual list of best value colleges, the private and public institutions that have earned the company's highest return-on-investment rating. The Princeton Review, a tutoring, test preparation and college admissions services company, is not affiliated with Princeton University. For its 2022 list, The Princeton Review chose 209 schools from its survey of some 650 institutions during the 2020–21 school year. To tally the ROI ratings, the company analyzed school-reported data on academics, cost/financial aid, career services, student debt and graduation rates. It also factored in data from PayScale.com surveys of alumni of the schools about their starting and mid-career salaries, and their job satisfaction. Overall, researchers used some 40 data points to tally return-on-investment rating scores for the schools. See the gallery for the 14 best value private colleges in 2022.
