Raymond James has named Kevin Ruth senior vice president of Private Wealth. In this role, Ruth will lead the firm's work on wealth management strategies for advisors serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

With over 25 years in the industry, Ruth recently developed the application Give-Get that provides financial education to high school students. Earlier, the CFP served as head of wealth planning and personal trust at Fidelity Investments (2013-2019) and also led the development and implementation of private wealth programs at Merrill Lynch and UBS.

"Kevin's combination of significant expertise and service-oriented approach will be a great addition to Raymond James," according to Private Client Group President Scott Curtis. "Under his leadership, we will continue enhancing our private wealth capabilities to address the evolving needs and expectations of advisors' more sophisticated client relationships."

In his new role, Ruth is based in Saint Petersburg, Florida, and reports to Private Client Group COO Kim Jenson. He will focus on efforts to grow and enhance private wealth solutions available to Raymond James advisors and their high-net-worth clients. These efforts include estate and charitable planning, intergenerational wealth strategies, custom investment management solutions, cash management and lending, and risk mitigation.

"His guidance will help ensure our platform remains open for advisors working with clients at any asset level and bolster their ability to provide solutions based on their clients' unique needs," said Jensen in a statement. "Kevin's passion for giving back aligns with our firm's charitable culture and commitment to the communities in which we serve.

Raymond James has about 8,500 independent and employee financial advisors with client assets under administration of nearly $1.2 trillion.
