The Social Security Administration recently released its Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance Beneficiaries by State and County 2020 report, which breaks down, among other things, how many old-age, survivor, disability insurance beneficiaries there are on a local level, and the percentage of the population, as well as each state's population over age 65, taking benefits. The data is put together by the SSA using its own information, including its Master Beneficiary Record, as well as figures collected by the U.S. Postal Service and Census Bureau.
