Life Happens started the 2021 Life Insurance Awareness Month campaign today with plenty to talk about.
The Arlington, Virginia-based nonprofit group has worked to spread the awareness message by developing a marketing guide and a pre-recorded webinar for agents and brokers
Life Happens also has brought in Kelly Rowland — a former member of the group Destiny's Child and a coach on the show The Voice Australia — to be the spokesperson for the new campaign.
In one video for the campaign, Rowland says having life insurance tells the insured's family, "I love you, I've got you and I'm seeing to your future no matter what."
In another video, Rowland says she first understood the value of life insurance while talking to a friend who had suddenly lost her husband.
Meanwhile, the agents, brokers, life insurance company marketing executives and other people supporting the campaign can point to three dramatic examples of the importance of personal protection insurance: natural disasters like Hurricane Ida and the Caldor Fire, the COVID-19 pandemic and observances of the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Life Happens has been organizing the awareness campaigns since 2004.
