Carson Group has expanded its marketing team by appointing Samantha Allen as its vice president of digital marketing, a newly created position at the wealth management firm. Allen has over a decade of experience in digital marketing and social media, according to Carson Group and her LinkedIn profile.

Prior to joining Carson Group, she served as vice president of marketing for FiComm Partners, a communications agency focused on financial services. Earlier, Allen was with TD Ameritrade, first as senior social media marketing specialist and then as manager of social media and search marketing.

"I have tremendous respect for Sam's command of the digital landscape and her passion for telling brand stories online, which I saw firsthand when she was on my team at TD Ameritrade," said Mary Kate Gulick, Carson Group's chief marketing officer, in a statement.

"In order to grow Carson Group's marketing capabilities to their fullest potential, we needed someone who is not only a skilled marketer, but also intimately understands the intricacies of the financial services industry," added Gulick, who joined the firm in June. "In Sam we found that person right here in Omaha."

Last month, Carson Group received a strategic investment from Bain Capital, which valued its business at roughly $1 billion. Carson Group CEO Ron Carson will remain the majority owner of the firm and maintain his role as leader.

The firm, based in Omaha, Nebraska, includes three businesses, which are Carson Wealth, Carson Coaching and Carson Partners. Its operations include an RIA with some $17 billion in assets, as well as an advisor network with 110 partner offices, including 30 Carson Wealth locations.
