Schwab Impact 2021 and Pershing Insite 2021 will both be virtual events this year, due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
"Schwab had high hopes of bringing Schwab IMPACT 2021 back in person, but with an event that involves more than 5,000 people and the uncertainty of what conditions will be like in the fall, the decision was reached that IMPACT 2021 will be a two-day predominantly virtual event on Oct. 19-20," according to a statement from the firm.
Virtual attendance will be free, and Schwab expects to provide in-person networking for small groups of advisors in locations around the country. Those locations and the agenda for the conference were not disclosed. Last year's Schwab Impact was also a virtual event.
Pershing Insite 2021
Unlike Schwab, BNY Mellon's Pershing canceled its Insite event in 2020 amid the raging pandemic. This year, however, it is also planning a virtual event, from June 8 to 10.
Live one-hour sessions are to run from 11 a.m. to noon Eastern time daily, along with on-demand sessions on the future of wealth management, the labor force, regulations, financial markets and market trends (like SPACs, and structured products).
