The American Academy of Actuaries has added a diversity, equity and inclusion webpage to its website.

The Washington-based group works with policymakers to understand the math at the heart of pension programs, health insurance programs, life insurance programs, and other arrangements that involve morbidity, longevity and mortality risk.

The new page includes links to many academy resources related to diversity, equity and inclusion, including analyses of health insurance disparities.

There also is a collection of links to information about well-known female actuaries, including Annette James, in honor of International Women's Day, which took place March 8.

The page also has a podcast featuring James who is the lead actuary for the state of Nevada and chair of the academy's Health Equity Work Group.

One goal for the homepage is to support NAIC efforts to promote inclusion, the academy said.
