Jonathan Straub, Founder and Principal, AdvicePeriod

Jonathan Straub is a Founder and Principal of AdvicePeriod. With broad-based leadership experience across wealth advisory, FinTech, and corporate strategy, Jon's primary focus is on building AdvicePeriod's team of employees, partners, and systems into the integrated professional services firm of the future. Jon also serves as an Advisory Board Member to Charles Schwab & Co. (NYSE: SCHW), Betterment, Inc., and Baltic Tiger Entertainment (BTE).

Prior to launching AdvicePeriod, Jon spent the previous decade at Convergent Wealth Advisors, building it into one of the nation's first $10 billion RIA firms and leading its post-acquisition integration strategy with City National Bank (NYSE:CNB). During his tenure, Jon managed the firm's national wealth advisory practice and oversaw product development and operations of Convergent's alternative investment fund complex.

Before joining Convergent, Jon was a Principal with DeltaTech Partners, a Washington, DC-based venture firm where he focused on technology transfer and patent commercialization in the defense and energy sectors. Prior to DeltaTech, Jon began his career in the legal department of FleetBoston Financial.

Jon is a graduate of Boston College Carroll School of Management, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance; and he earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Suffolk University Law School. At Suffolk he was an editor of the Transnational Law Review. Jon has published a variety of articles in legal and investment journals. He also holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 license and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Chris Reedy, Managing Director, Business Development, Schwab Advisor Services™

Chris leads the business development team, covering the Western half of the country, who work with advisors interested in the independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) model. Before joining Schwab Advisor Services, Chris was a Financial Advisor and Branch Manager at Morgan Stanley. He holds a BA from Southern Illinois University and holds the Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65 registrations.
