Dynamic Model Portfolios is the latest addition to the YCharts platform, the investment research provider says.

The enhancement to YCharts Model Portfolios provides improved analysis and more ways for advisors to communicate their strengths to clients, according to the company, which was recently acquired by private equity firm LLR Partners.

Dynamic Model Portfolios enables advisors to present and discuss historical asset allocations and holdings adjustments with clients and prospects, it says in a blog post.

The new capability also helps advisors more accurately depict historical performance and effectively show the impacts of decision-making with clients.

Apex Partners With Altruist

Apex Clearing and digital brokerage platform Altruist are collaborating to provide independent financial advisors and their clients with what they say is a better, "frictionless" investing experience.

An integration with Apex has enhanced Altruist's platform with new capabilities designed to help financial advisors "build tech-forward, individualized relationships with their clients," while also providing them with Apex security, the companies said in a joint announcement.

Apex will execute trades and hold assets on behalf of Altruist users and the new partnership also "unlocks over 18,000 new securities for Altruist users," according to the firms.

Envestnet Introduces More Product Enhancements

Envestnet is rolling out a series of technology enhancements, including new features in the Envestnet | Tamarac platform that it says enable independent RIAs to "efficiently manage and track" annual capital gains taxes in clients' taxable accounts.

New capital gains management and monitoring features offer advisors and their clients the insights they need to make "tax-aware — and tax-smart — investing decisions," says Andina Anderson, executive managing director of Envestnet | Tamarac.

The latest capabilities are made possible by Tamarac's new Annual Capital Gains Tax Budget setting that also allows advisors to track long- and short-term gains together or individually. Advisors can also proactively make trades that optimize for capital gains in Tamarac using several new tools: a Saved Search Filter; Rebalancing Workflow Page Columns; and Bulk Report & Upload Columns.

The capital gains feature in Tamarac complement the new Mutual Fund Capital Gains Dashboard, powered by Envestnet Analytics, that allows RIAs and enterprise organizations using the Envestnet platform to, among other things, collect estimates for distributions of mutual fund capital gains and apply them to client accounts, and identify and develop plans to avoid distributions.

MoneyGuide is also developing two new blocks that are currently in beta-testing: a Goal Block that simplifies the goal planning process and a Spend vs. Borrow Block.

The firm's Express Proposal Application, meanwhile, will go live in November as a complement to the Envestnet platform's standard proposal generator. The Express Proposal Application was "designed to save advisors time, fund accounts faster, and highlight the most useful information for advisors and clients throughout the proposal process," according to Envestnet.

Riskalyze and Envestnet Expand Integration

Riskalyze is expanding its integration with Envestnet later this year, allowing advisors to create proposals for asset allocations via a single sign-on between the platforms.

Advisors will be able to use Riskalyze to generate Risk Numbers for clients, build proposals using the Risk Number, and implement the proposals directly into the Envestnet unified advice platform, the companies said in a joint announcement.

Advisors will be able to easily pull their client's current portfolio from Envestnet and update the portfolio allocation. Before, the information would be pulled and uploaded manually by the advisor, but now the data will be automatically integrated into Riskalyze from Envestnet.

The integration will also complement Riskalyze's existing MyBlocks integration with Envestnet | MoneyGuide that displays a client's Risk Number alongside the other Blocks available on the MoneyGuide platform.

Blockchange Adds DeFi Support to RIA Platform

Blockchange added 14 new digital assets to its BITRIA Digital Turnkey Asset Management platform for RIAs, including 10 Decentralized Finance (DeFi) tokens.

The additions will enable wealth managers to offer a much broader base of digital assets in response to growing interest from investors, according to the company. Blockchange is seeing interest in the DeFi ecosystem especially from millennials and investors with more tolerance for risk, it says.

Although digital assets in general represent "new territory for many investment advisors, the BITRIA platform allows RIA firms to engage early and with confidence" via a separately managed account approach, enabling advisors with more experience in digital assets to act as subadvisors, it says.
