LPL Financial said its new head of operations is Judy Ricketts, a former executive and long-term employee of TD Ameritrade.

As executive vice president, Operations, Ricketts will focus on how to best deliver "a differentiated service experience to LPL advisors and institutions and their clients," according to the independent broker-dealer.

At TD Ameritrade, she most recently served as managing director, Retail Investor Services, and led the retail contact center. Earlier, she was president and managing director, Clearing, as well as managing director, Investor Services. She also helped start the firm's diversity and inclusion efforts.

Now based at the firm's Carolinas campus, Ricketts reports to Dayton Semerjian, LPL's chief customer care officer and managing director of Service, Trading and Operations.

"Judy is an industry leader with a proven record of driving results among complex enterprise-level initiatives," Semerjian said in a statement. "She has experience implementing advanced technology into business operations, while placing a high value on the role employees play in the overall client experience."

The new LPL executive is a board member of Rock The Street, Wall Street and formerly was on board of the Women's Fund of Omaha, according to her LinkedIn profile. She's also vice chair of the board of trustees of the Securities Industry Institute at Wharton, as well as the mother of three children and an avid baseball fan.

"Our industry is at a critical pivot point, and I look forward to being a part of a leadership team and an Operations group that is positioned to revolutionize how we do business in support of financial professionals and their clients," explained Ricketts in a statement.
