Another baseball player taking the stage at Inside ETFs is Derek Jeter, former captain of the New York Yankees and currently a part owner and CEO of MLB's Miami Marlins, as well as an active philanthropist.
Joe Davis, global chief economist and head of the investment strategy group, at Vanguard also will take the stage, as will Ric Edelman, advisor and founder of the RIA Digital Assets Council.
Starting Monday, leaders of independent broker-dealers and other firms will meet in San Diego at the Financial Services Institute's yearly gathering outside of Washington. The conference begins with a workshop on advancing women in leadership, which will be followed by a general session on navigating the big shift in financial services.
Other general sessions will highlight cybersecurity and a look at "the fourth industrial revolution" via panel discussions. Breakout sessions will focus on CEO issues; compliance; due diligence; supervision; investment advisory services; marketing, growth and development; and operations and technology.
Later in the week, TD's LINC event for RIAs has a long list of top speakers, including Marcus Lemonis of CNBC's "The Profit," Ian Bremmer of Eurasia Group, Carson Group's Tammy Breitenbach and Greg Opitz, writer and poker player Annie Duke, Google branding exec Abigail Posner, Matthew Sekol of Microsoft, Kristen Schmidt of RIA Oasis, and TD Ameritrade Institutional President Tom Nally.
