Starting Monday, leaders of independent broker-dealers and other firms will meet in San Diego at the Financial Services Institute's yearly gathering outside of Washington. The conference begins with a workshop on advancing women in leadership, which will be followed by a general session on navigating the big shift in financial services.
Other general sessions will highlight cybersecurity and a look at "the fourth industrial revolution" via panel discussions. Breakout sessions will focus on CEO issues; compliance; due diligence; supervision; investment advisory services; marketing, growth and development; and operations and technology.
