Seixas Milner III — who is commonly known as Chad — is now the 2020 chair of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA).

NAILBA is a Fairfax, Virginia-based group for life insurance distributors. Myra Palmer was the group's chair in 2019.

Milner is the president and chief executive officer of  the Milner Group, an insurance brokerage agency based in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The company distributes annuities and long-term care insurance as well as life insurance. Milner has increased annual annuity sales at the Milner Group to about $240 million, from about $10 million in 2001, according to his NAILBA biography.

Milner himself founded North American Senior Benefits, a final expense plan distributor, in 2012. North American Senior Benefits now has about 600 career agents and produces sales that will generate about $20 million in annual premium revenue.

NAILBA represents about 300 independent brokers and brokerage general agencies. The member companies help connect insurers with retail agents. The distributors and their affiliated agents generate a total of about $20 billion in annualized premiums, according to NAILBA estimates.

In other NAILBA officer news:

  • Jason Lea of Providence, Rhode Island, is now the NAILBA chair-elect.
  • John Gilbert of West Des Moines, Iowa, is the treasurer.
  • Tori Van Dusen-Roos of Minneapolis is the secretary.

Dan LaBert continues to be NAILBA's chief executive officer.

The NAILBA Charitable Foundation

NAILBA says its charitable affiliate raised about $227,000 in 2019 and distributed that money to 29 community organizations.
