NU Agency of the Year Award Logo The winners of the 2019 NU Agency of the Year Award will share their best practices in a new webinar on Dec. 12.

In October, NU Property & Casualty and PropertyCasualty360 honored the stalwart independent insurance agents who continue to thrive while working in a profession that continually is rumored to be disappearing, only to be replaced by startups and online insurance options.

Despite all the disruption in the insurance industry, the winners of the 2019 Independent Insurance Agency of the Year Award are defying conventional wisdom. They've demonstrated that clients are still looking to agencies for trusted advisors, especially when they're making significant changes in their lives, whether it's starting a new business, buying property or blending families — because nothing happens without insurance.

As we hear over and over, insurance and financial services are relationship businesses. These three agencies have embraced that statement, and they live it every day. On Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. ET, I'd like you to join the award winners and me for a complimentary webinar, in which we'll look back at what the agencies have done since they were first established to provide value to their clients. We'll also look ahead to 2020 and beyond to learn how these agencies plan to be around for several more decades.

I'll be moderating the webinar, with assistance from ThinkAdvisor's Ronald Pechtimaldjian, and our distinguished panel:

In addition to hearing from our award winners, you'll have a chance to ask questions and share some thoughts on what you're doing in your agency.

Mark your calendars now and plan to attend our free webinar, "Looking Ahead to 2020 and Beyond: Thoughts from NU's 2019 Independent Insurance Agency of the Year Award Winners" on Thurs., Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. ET/11a.m. PT. It's a great way to wrap-up 2019 and fill out your business plan for 2020!
