(Related: 20 Best Paying College Majors (That Aren't Engineering): 2019) ThinkAdvisor curated the ranking of jobs for business majors that pay the highest salaries. We pulled the data from PayScale's extensive College Salary Report for 2019. The College Salary Report collected alumni compensation data from 3.2 million employees, representing more than 4,000 universities across the U.S. to determine, among other things, mid-career salary potential of these jobs and related majors. Mid-career is figured as 10 years in the chosen field of work. To figure the salary, PayScale combined base annual salary or hourly wage, bonuses, profit sharing, tips, commissions, overtime, and other forms of cash earnings, but not stock compensation.
In the business arena, most people are looking for a big payday but there are some jobs in the business world that are actually high on the meaningful side. Like last year's report, PayScale found that 70% of financial advisors said their jobs were meaningful, which is far above the 19 other jobs listed, with the closest, again, being finance director, at 56%. — Related on ThinkAdvisor:
