The health sharing plan movement made itself felt recently at the Inter-Company Marketing Group's 2019 annual conference.

Aliera Healthcare, an Atlanta-based organization that offers memberships in faith-based health programs as well as supplemental insurance benefits, served as a gold sponsor for the ICMG conference, which took place in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The ICMG is a nonprofit association that helps insurers and other financial services organizations network.

The group reports that it attracted 385 attendees to the latest annual conference.

The conference offered sessions on topics such as raising capital, using health insurance agency infrastructure to sell life insurance, and the new options for employers with self-funded health plans.

In addition to Aliera, the list of exhibitors and sponsors included many insurtech companies, including Praeses, which is marketing the RESPONDPlatform insurance distribution support system, and Vericred, which offers health plan data streams.

Other companies, such as Darwill, were at the conference to market marketing support systems and services.

The ICMG says its 2020 annual conference will start Jan. 29 in Orlando, Florida.
