Brighthouse Financial Inc. will offer at least one annuity through Envestnet Inc.'s new Envestnet Insurance Exchange program.

Brighthouse announced today that it will start by offering a fee-based contract, the Brighthouse Shield Level Select Advisory Annuity contract, through the Envestnet exchange.

Brighthouse "plans to add a broader range of annuity solutions to the platform in the future," the company said.

The Envestnet insurance exchange organizers have also attracted annuities from issuers such as Jackson, Global Atlantic Financial Group and Allianz Life.

Brighthouse announced in October that it would be offering both fixed annuities and immediate annuities through a new online system of its own, the Brighthouse Financial Digital Desk system.
