Carson Group has hired Jamie Hopkins to serve as director of retirement research and head of private client services. Earlier, Hopkins was an associate professor of taxation in The American College of Financial Services' retirement income program.
In his new roles, Hopkins will work on building a retirement-planning research group for Carson Group advisor firms, which will host investor-focused seminars and webinars, share articles and provide other thought leadership, according to the company. He also will serve as a special resource to partner firms and their clients.
"Jamie fills a gap in our advisor offering and represents yet another move we're making to enhance the support and resources we feel will set our advisors apart," according to Carson Group Executive Vice President Aaron Schaben.
